Membership Types and Benefits
As a member of AIA you are a part of an international network of educated aromatherapists. Whether you want to attend educational and networking events, or explore opportunities and articles within our website or within our community of like-minded professionals, make the most of your AIA membership through its offerings to grow professionally and to reach out to the world. All membership categories enjoy these benefits. Details of all membership types are listed below. The AIA is a welcoming organization and appreciate the benefits of diversity in our community. We accept members of all educational levels from enthusiasts and students to seasoned professionals and healthcare professionals working in clinical environments. While AIA recognizes those schools that have voluntarily gone through the process of meeting our high standards for excellence in education, it is not necessary that your education is from one of these schools in order to become a Professional or Advanced Practitioner member of AIA. To RENEW your existing membership, login to your account and renew from your profile. If your membership has lapsed more than 30 days, you will not be able to login to your member account. Please call the office at 303-531-6377 to renew over the phone. Referral Credit Program Details AIA members earn $10 referral credit towards their next membership renewal for each new member you refer to AIA. Simply assure that the person you are referring includes your name on the “How did you hear about us!” line on the application. Associate Member - $ 95.00 Applicant has interest in the field or is a student enrolled in an Aromatherapy certification program. Membership benefits include:
Professional Member - $125.00 Applicant has completed a minimum of 200 hours of documented and verifiable instruction in aromatherapy and 12 CE credits per year. Membership benefits include:
APCA (Advanced Practice Clinical Aromatherapist) formerly “Clinical Member of AIA” - $155 per year ($25 Application Fee) The applicant has completed 400 hours of documented and verifiable instruction in aromatherapy. The advanced practitioner candidate must complete a special application which is approved by the Board. The Education Committee has established the guidelines for various levels of aromatherapy training at the Advanced Practitioner Level (APCA). For those who are currently studying or planning to achieve this level, the AIA offers a new level of membership. Membership benefits include:
Business Membership - $350.00 Membership benefits include: AIA has recently updated the Business Membership category and the benefits of Business Membership. We will continue to increase benefits for Business Members as we reach out to you for more information on how we can better support you as a valued part of the AIA community. As of March 2022 our business membership is for one person with a business. If you have employees whom you would like to have access to some AIA benefits, you will be able to add associate members to your business membership at $95 each annually. Honorary Member The Board of Directors may designate or award honorary membership to an individual who’s contributions to AIA and the aromatherapy profession are worthy of recognition and reward. Membership benefits include:
Events Calendar Details As a member of AIA you have the exclusive benefit of having your programs and events posted on the Events Calendar. Continuing Education Details Continuing Education credits (CEs) are available for those participating in AIA educational programs. Opportunities for CEs are frequent and include the following educational programs:
