Aromatherapy Databases

The Aromahead Institute's Component Database is the culmination of research conducted over the past several decades. GC/MS technology has made it possible to know the individual chemical components pf essential oils. Our database gives aromatherapists, researchers and health practitioners the ability to look up the evidence based medicinal properties of essential oil chemical components. The information provided in this data base makes it simpler to blend for specific health concerns from a researched scientific perspective.

The Aromatherapy Database is the only database in the world concerned with the biological activity of essential oils. The bibliographic references and abstracts are sourced from peer reviewed, scientific journals worldwide and are updated monthly. All of the full papers are on file; ask detailed questions about the research and quickly receive the answers. The research papers are closely linked to a component database; clicking on the component name in the abstract will display an information box about the component, including a structural drawing. The Essential Oil Research Database is an invaluable tool for the professional therapist.
